Sitting too long at the computer can lead problems of your posture, and
the impact can spread to the overall health of the body. To avoid health
problems occur, Dr. Helen Lee, DC, gives a several tips to improve your
posture.
Dr Lee explained that bad sitting posture can lead to the bad health as
well. "Sitting in a long time, can decrease the body's circulation, slow
metabolism, blood sugar imbalances and posture affect muscle balance,"
said Dr. Lee.
- Put a small pillow
Dr Lee suggested putting a small pillow behind your lower back. To make around your waist and buttocks can be comfortable and relax. - Posture
Have a seat as good as possible, if you sit in wrong way then it will not improve your posture. Avoid bending, too close to the computer keyboard and crossed your legs.
Here's how to sit rightly:
- Both of your legs placed straight on the floor with your knees higher than your hips or bench.
- Put your elbows comfortably on the side or back of the chair and put your shoulders relaxed straight.
- Head looking straight ahead.
- Focus on abdominal breathing to increase oxygen to the body. Abdominal breathing also makes you feel relaxes.
- Drink water
Dehydration can make you tired. It is will be worst when you sit with a little of water in your body. Drink water, tea or juice to avoid dehydration. - Move
Avoid sitting in a chair the whole day. Move regularly or get up every 15 to 30 minutes or so to stretch the muscles. You can also take a walk to increase your energy.
